SPRING VALLEY: Early Morning Fire On Ewing Avenue; One Firefighter Injured

A structure fire erupted at 45 Ewing Avenue, Spring Valley, just after 4:30 AM, with firefighters and emergency teams quickly responding to the scene.

Initially reported as smoke in a building, the situation escalated to a visible fire, leading to the evacuation of trapped residents.

Firefighters from ten Rockland County departments, were involved in controlling the blaze. Spring Hill EMS, Spring Valley Police and Ramapo Police were on the scene as well.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that initially, there were no injuries reported. However, the situation changed when a wall collapsed on a firefighter, who was then transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and suffered minor injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
