RAMAPO: School Bus Driver Arrested and Charged After Crash Involving 9-Year-Old Student

On March 21, 2023, the Ramapo Police Department was called to the scene of an incident where a 9-year-old student got involved in a crash after alighting from a school bus at the intersection of Pioneer Avenue and North Airmont Road.

Today, members of the Ramapo Police Crash Investigation Unit took the school bus driver into custody. He has been charged with Reckless Endangerment 2 and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. After processing, the defendant was released, pending a court appearance scheduled in the Town of Ramapo Justice Court.
