Worker Critically Injured After 7-Story Fall at Bowline Power Plant In Haverstraw, Airlifted to Hospital

A worker was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center following a severe fall of seven stories at the Bowline Power Plant in West Haverstraw. The accident occurred early Wednesday morning, prompting an urgent response from local fire departments.

The Thiells Fire Department, supported by West Haverstraw fire officials, located the worker who had fallen into a hopper within the plant’s ductwork. A complex rescue operation ensued, involving the cutting of sheet metal, insulation, and steel to reach and extract the victim.

Details regarding the worker’s condition and the cause of the fall have not been released.
