On Sunday, the William Paul Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps held their annual member appreciation dinner at the Nyack Seaport. The event celebrated the year-round dedication and heroism of its members. Attendees included local law enforcement and elected officials. During the event, Stony Point Ambulance Corp covered Faist Central territory, while Nanuet EMS covered the Faist Main territory, ensuring continuous emergency services.
Although Congressman Mike Lawler was unable to attend in person, he sent his District Leader, Rafi Silberberg, along with a personal video message. In his video, Congressman Lawler stated:
“Good evening and thank you to the William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps for your daily acts of heroism. For over 40 years, you have answered the call across our community, responding to the unexpected and saving lives. I wish I could have joined you in person tonight for your annual dinner. I nonetheless wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your tireless devotion to Hudson Valley families. One out of every two households in our community has a volunteer firefighter, first responder, law enforcement officer, service member, or veteran living in the household. It’s the honor of my lifetime to represent this community of heroes and fight for you each and every day as your representative in Washington. I wanted to especially thank Chief Shimon Singer, Captain Vicky Deutsch, Board Chairman Shimmy Deutsch, President Orit Fortgang, and each of your line officers, board members, and every one of you who volunteer your time in the service of others. Thank you again for your tireless devotion to our community. I look forward to being with you in person very soon. In the meantime, God bless you and your families. Have a great evening and enjoy the dinner.”
The event was a heartwarming tribute to the volunteers who dedicate their time and effort to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
