The William P. Faist Volunteer Ambulance Corps recently honored longtime volunteer Yehuda Bashinsky, affectionately known throughout the agency as “Papa B,” for achieving Life Member Status in recognition of 10 years of dedicated service.
Over the past decade, Bashinsky has become a familiar and dependable presence at Faist, regularly volunteering for multiple shifts each week and always stepping up wherever help is needed. In addition to responding to emergency calls, he has played a vital role behind the scenes, assisting around the agency and supporting fellow members in countless ways.
Among his many contributions, Bashinsky has been instrumental in maintaining the agency’s kosher kitchen, ensuring members always have food available to meet their dietary needs. Whether preparing meals, helping around the building, or checking in on volunteers, he is known for his generosity and commitment to those around him.
Affectionately known as “Papa B,” Bashinsky is widely regarded as a father figure within the corps. His kindness, patience, and genuine concern for every member have helped foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere throughout the organization.
