Members of William P. Faist EMS, which operates EMS ambulance services in the Town of Ramapo, participated in a full day of intensive training focused on a variety of vehicle and heavy-equipment extrication scenarios.
The training began early in the morning and continued throughout the day, giving members the opportunity to sharpen their skills while learning updated techniques and procedures used in modern rescue operations. The session was led by Faist EMS Training Lieutenant Chaim Klein, who guided members through multiple hands-on scenarios designed to prepare crews for complex emergency situations.
At the conclusion of the training, Faist EMS members joined firefighters from the Tallman Fire Department for a joint drill involving a simulated emergency with a working bulldozer and an incapacitated driver. The exercise focused on coordinating a safe response between EMS and fire personnel when dealing with heavy machinery incidents.
The drill was led by Tallman Fire Department 1st Assistant Chief 20-2 Dennis Murphy and emphasized teamwork, communication, and safe extrication practices during specialized rescue situations.
