Wild Police Chase Across Rockland Ends in Stony Point Arrests; More Details to Follow {VIDEO}

A dramatic police chase that began in Clarkstown on Tuesday unfolded across Rockland County, involving multiple local and state law enforcement agencies. The pursuit began following a reported larceny and escalated quickly as the suspects led officers onto the Palisades Parkway, at times driving in the wrong direction and crashing into several vehicles, including a police car.

During the chase, the fleeing vehicle dangerously sped through the busy Spring Valley Marketplace, narrowly avoiding pedestrians and shoppers. The pursuit ultimately came to an end near 13 Schassler Place in Stony Point when the suspect vehicle went over an embankment. Both suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly apprehended by officers.

In a statement released following the incident, the Stony Point Police Department said, “Several local and state police agencies have apprehended two criminals who attempted to flee. All suspects have been arrested and there is no further threat to the community. Additional information may be released at a later time. Thank you all for your assistance.”

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. Monsey Scoop will provide more updates as they become available to us.
