WEST NYACK: Two-Alarm Fire Erupts at Palisades Center Mall; No Injuries Reported

Multiple fire departments responded Monday night to a two-alarm fire at the Palisades Center Mall after a kiosk machine ignited on the second floor.

The incident occurred just before 9:00 p.m., prompting a rapid response from the West Nyack Fire Department along with mutual aid departments. Upon arrival, police and mall security guided firefighters to the Waffle and Crepes kiosk, where flames were discovered burning inside the walls. Crews quickly brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby stores.

Firefighters remained on scene for approximately ninety minutes to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and to check for any hidden hotspots. The building was safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the West Nyack Fire Department.
