After months of closure for extensive renovations, the Social Security Administration (SSA) office in West Nyack is scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 19, 2025.
Located at 7 Westgate Avenue, the facility temporarily shut its doors in July 2024 to undergo upgrades aimed at enhancing accessibility, infrastructure, and service technology. The closure was reported by Monsey Scoop here.
During the renovation period, Rockland County residents were directed to alternate SSA offices in White Plains, Newburgh, and the Bronx. Online services continued to operate without interruption.
An SSA spokesperson confirmed the reopening date and reiterated the agency’s commitment to providing improved, efficient service to the public.
The West Nyack branch serves a large portion of the local population, and its reopening is expected to help reduce the backlog and wait times at neighboring offices.
