Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board officially opened the new multipurpose turf field at Germonds Park on Wednesday afternoon with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting.
The new facility, located at 185 Germonds Road, marks a major enhancement to Germonds Park, offering a high-quality playing surface for local sports leagues and community events. Joining Supervisor Hoehmann at the ceremony were members of the Town Board, town officials, Congressman Mike Lawler, State Senator Bill Weber, and representatives from the Clarkstown girls and boys lacrosse leagues, the New City Rams, and the Clarkstown Soccer Club.
The event celebrated Clarkstown’s continued investment in recreational spaces and youth athletics, with local players and families gathering to inaugurate the state-of-the-art field.
