Water Main Upgrade To Begin Today In New Hempstead Set to Enhance Service

Veolia Water Company has announced a project to replace the water main in Wits End and Keri Lane areas starting today March 25, 2024, aiming to complete by May 3. This enhancement is designed to improve water system reliability, quality, and fire safety measures.

Residents will have continuous water access, with brief interruptions only occurring after prior notification. The initiative may also lead to temporary traffic and parking changes. Work hours are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily, under contractor Fletcher Creamer.

Veolia emphasizes that water standards will be maintained throughout the project. For any concerns, Kevin Bamburak, Veolia Project Manager, is available at 201-538-0369, or the 24/7 emergency line at 877-426-8969 after hours.

The community is thanked in advance for its patience and cooperation during the upgrades, which promise long-term benefits for the water service system.
