A wave of excitement is sweeping through Viznitzer Chassidim across America as preparations get underway for the long-awaited Masa Hakodesh of the Viznitzer Rebbe Shlita from Bnei Brak l’refuah sheleima, who is expected to arrive in the coming weeks and to personally participate in a family simcha.
The Rebbe is planning to travel to the United States to take part in the wedding of his youngest grandchild, the child of his eldest son-in-law, HaRav Yitzchok Twersky Shlita, son of the Skverer Rebbe Shlita. The chasunah is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 24th – Parshas Vayetzei, 4 Kislev, and will be held in the magnificent new Skvere Beis Medrash in New Square — a simcha that Yidden everywhere are eagerly anticipating.
Although the Rebbe is still undergoing medical treatments after a challenging year and continues to face health difficulties, he has expressed his strong desire to personally be present at this special simcha, the wedding of his youngest grandchild from his oldest daughter.
During the Rebbe’s stay, he is expected to reside in New Square, at the home of Skvere Rosh Hakoel Reb Avigdor Estreicher. In preparation for this extraordinary visit, Reb Avigdor has added a new wing to his home, equipped with everything necessary to ensure the Rebbe’s comfort, including an elevator and other features suited to the Rebbe’s current medical needs.
Adding to the excitement, there will also be a bar mitzvah celebrated during the Rebbe’s visit, that of his grandson, HaBochur Moshe Yehoshua, son of HaRav Chaim Meir Hager Shlita, Av Beis Din of Kiryas Viznitz Bnei Brak. The simcha will be held in New York and is expected to draw large crowds of Chassidim.
