Village of Sloatsburg Hosts Chanukah Menorah Lighting

On Sunday evening, the Village of Sloatsburg, in partnership with Rabbi Gancz, and Chabad of Suffern, hosted a heartwarming Chanukah Menorah Lighting ceremony at Mill Street Park. The event brought together local residents, community leaders, and families to celebrate the Festival of Lights in a festive and inclusive atmosphere.

Dignitaries in attendance included Mayor Frasier and his Sloatsburg Trustees, Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht, and other prominent leaders from the county and state. The presence of Ramapo Police Chief and officers ensured a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

One of the evening’s highlights was the support of the Sloatsburg Fire Department, whose ladder truck played a key role in making the Chanukah Gelt Toss an unforgettable experience for children, adding excitement and joy to the celebration.
