Chestnut Ridge officials met this week with Ramapo Highway Department leadership to solidify enhanced winter-storm preparations across the Village’s 33 miles of roadway.
Deputy Mayor Chaim Rose and Trustee Shmuli Fromovitz met with Ramapo Highway Superintendent Fred Brinn and his team to confirm that additional plowing resources will be allocated to Chestnut Ridge this season, bringing the total to four dedicated plow trucks serving the Village.
Village officials say the added equipment is expected to significantly improve snow-removal response times and overall roadway safety during storms.
During the meeting, the parties also reported progress on drainage concerns and stop-sign improvements, key issues that residents have raised throughout the year.
“We truly appreciate the teamwork and commitment to keeping Chestnut Ridge roads safe and ready for winter,” officials told Monsey Scoop.
