Last week, New York State Senator Bill Weber visited the Village of Airmont, where the Rabbanim he met with voiced strong support for his campaign.
Attendees expressed how their support was not based on the meeting alone but on the Senator’s track record over the past two years, where he has proven time and time again his responsiveness to the community as a representative of the values Airmont kehillas hold dear.
As in other meetings, discussions revolved around yeshiva education and fears stemming from the attacks it continues to endure. Senator Weber voiced his ongoing commitment to standing at the forefront in protecting the yeshiva education system as he has thus far, including his work as a member of the New York State Education Committee, which was also recognized.
“I was honored by the support of Airmont’s community leaders,” Senator Weber said. “Hearing how much my efforts of the past two years have meant for constituents in the community and the community as a whole encourages me to continue in the path I have chosen and the path I will not be deterred from in pursuing what is right for our district.”
