The Village of Airmont is set to embark on an extensive road paving project beginning on August 27, 2024. The project, contracted to Consorti Bros., will cover multiple roads throughout the village, ensuring improved road conditions and enhanced safety for residents.
The project will be executed in several phases:
- Shuart Road: Milling and prepping will take place from August 27 to August 30, with paving scheduled for September 3 and September 4.
- Cobblestone Lane: Milling and prepping will also occur from August 27 to August 30, followed by paving on September 3 and September 4.
- Smith Hill Road (from Church Road to Van Gogh Lane): This section will undergo milling and prepping from September 5 to September 6, with paving planned from September 9 to September 13, and final touches from September 16 to September 20.
- Ackerman Avenue, Appleland Road, Hidden Glen Lane, Echo Ridge Road, and Frontier Lane: These roads will be milled and paved from September 23 to October 4.
- Quincy Court, Twin Lakes Drive, and Woodland Place: The milling and paving work on these roads is scheduled from October 7 to October 11.
- Haskell Avenue, Patriot Drive, and Stone Meadow Lane: Milling and paving will take place from October 14 to October 18.
- Elber Court, Avon Court, and Gayle Court: The final phase of the project will cover these roads from October 21 to October 25.
The Village of Airmont advises residents to plan accordingly for potential disruptions during the construction period. The project is part of the village’s ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing infrastructure for the community.
