Village of Airmont Announces New Chometz Burning Location at Satmar (Central UTA) Girls School, 236 Cherry Lane

The Village of Airmont is pleased to announce a new chometz burning location available for Airmont residents this year. The burning will take place on Friday, April 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Satmar (Central UTA) Girls School, located at 236 Cherry Lane in Airmont.

The Village Board of Trustees, always striving to provide for the community’s needs, collaborated with local organizations to ensure a safe, convenient, and efficient setup. Thanks to the generous support of the Satmar Girls School, the school’s property will be used as the designated chometz burning center this year.

The site will include organized areas for chometz disposal, ample parking, and a separate entrance and exit to help accommodate the expected turnout and ease traffic flow. These measures aim to provide a smoother and safer experience for families preparing for Pesach.

The Village extends its appreciation to all involved and encourages residents to take advantage of this.
