Voters across Rockland County are heading to the polls today, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, to cast their ballots in local elections in Airmont, Chestnut Ridge, Pomona, and New Hempstead.
Airmont Elections
Residents of Airmont will decide on two trustee positions and a village justice seat. The incumbents running for re-election as village trustees are Shimon Moses and Isaac Weiss, while Alan J. Straus seeks another term as Airmont Village Justice. Voting is taking place at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Pomona Elections
The Village of Pomona is holding elections for two trustee positions. The Pomona United slate supports the re-election of Marc (Moshe) Greenberg and Mordechai (Mendy) Lasker, who are running on Row A of the ballot. Residents can vote at Pomona Village Hall, 100 Ladentown Rd, Pomona, NY 10970, between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Chestnut Ridge Elections
In Chestnut Ridge, all four candidates are running for reelection. Rosario Presti is seeking another term as mayor, while Shmuli Fromovitz and Chaim Rose are on the ballot to continue serving as village trustees. Walter Sevastian is also running for reelection as village justice. Voting will take place at Chestnut Ridge Village Hall, 277 Old Nyack Turnpike, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
New Hempstead Elections
In the Village of New Hempstead, Marc Schiffman is running for village trustee. Voting will be held at New Hempstead Village Hall, 108 Old Schoolhouse Rd, New City, NY 10956, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
