Veteran Clarkstown Police Officer Tom Doyle Embarks on Retirement

The Clarkstown Police Department has officially announced the retirement of one of its long-standing officers, Tom Doyle. His notable law enforcement career spanned over 42 years, beginning with the New York City Police Department in July 1981 and later transitioning to Clarkstown in February 1997.

Officer Doyle’s tenure at the department was marked not only by his exemplary service but also by the unique opportunity to serve alongside family members. The Doyle legacy includes his late brother, Det. Sgt. James “J.J.” Doyle, and continues with his daughter, PO C. Doyle.

Known for his professionalism and dedication, Officer Doyle has left an indelible mark on the department and the community. He also initiated the “Detective Sergeant James J. Doyle Memorial Scholarship” in honor of his brother, benefiting local students.

The community and his colleagues extend their gratitude to Officer Doyle for his years of service and wish him a fulfilling retirement.
