Vehicle Stolen from New Hempstead Recovered; Monsey Man Arrested

The Ramapo Police Department confirmed the theft of a vehicle reported stolen from the Village of New Hempstead on Motzei Shabbos. Following an intensive investigation, Ramapo Police were alerted by the Clarkstown Police Department in the early hours of Sunday, stating that they had successfully intercepted the stolen vehicle.

Around 1:10 am on Sunday, Clarkstown officers stopped the vehicle and detained its male operator. The 35-year-old man from Monsey was subsequently arrested and now faces charges of Grand Larceny 4th Degree (E-Felony) and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree (E-Felony).

The suspect was granted an appearance ticket and will be presented in court on a later date.
