Vehicle Crashes into Hillcrest House, Intoxicated Driver Faces Multiple Charges

A vehicle, driven by an intoxicated 39-year-old from Spring Valley, crashed into a home in Hillcrest on Saturday evening. The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 pm, with the Ramapo Police Department responding swiftly to the scene on Oxford Court.

The driver was arrested at the scene and is now facing a slew of charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated DWI with a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) over .18, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, among others.

Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. The police response was aided by the Hillcrest Fire Department and Rockland Paramedic Services. The driver has been released on their own recognizance, pending a future court appearance.
