Updated Road Closures Following Sunday’s Storm in Rockland County: Route 9W Open, but Restrictions Remain

The Rockland County Government has recently shared an update on road closures with Monsey Scoop, following the severe storm that occurred last Sunday in Rockland County.

Fortunately, there is positive news as Route 9W, both northbound and southbound, in Rockland County, including the Bear Mountain Bridge, has now been reopened.

This is a significant development as it allows for smoother traffic flow in the affected areas.

However, it’s important to note that certain sections are still inaccessible. Specifically, the section of 9W located north of the bridge and the Palisades Interstate Parkway from exit 15 northward are still closed for safety reasons. Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and remain updated on the status of these road closures.
