UPDATE: Victim Identified In Fatal West Nyack Pedestrian Crash On Route 303

Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in the Route 303 crash as Joseph Signorini, 41, of Congers. Police say Signorini was attempting to cross Route 303 near Route 59 when he was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes and subsequently struck by a second vehicle traveling northbound.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m., prompting the closure of Route 303 in both directions for several hours as the Clarkstown Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit conducted an on-scene investigation.

Emergency personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The roadway was later reopened once investigators cleared the area.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact the Clarkstown Police Department.
