Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in the Route 303 crash as Joseph Signorini, 41, of Congers. Police say Signorini was attempting to cross Route 303 near Route 59 when he was struck by a vehicle in the southbound lanes and subsequently struck by a second vehicle traveling northbound.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m., prompting the closure of Route 303 in both directions for several hours as the Clarkstown Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit conducted an on-scene investigation.
