UPDATE: Stolen Vehicle Recovered in the Bronx by Chaverim of Rockland Volunteers

The stolen vehicle has been successfully located in the Bronx by two dedicated volunteers from Chaverim of Rockland. Upon discovery, the vehicle’s license plates had been removed, but the VIN number matched, confirming it was the same car. NYPD officers are currently on the scene.

Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland are investigating the theft of a vehicle that was stolen around 4:30 a.m. today from Doe Drive in Wesley Hills. Authorities believe the vehicle may currently be in the Bronx, NY.

The vehicle’s owner spoke to Monsey Scoop and expressed gratitude for the efforts of Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland, telling Monsey Scoop that Chaverim volunteers have been tirelessly reviewing CCTV footage and License Plate Recognition (LPR) data since the call came in, hoping to uncover clues.

Ramapo Police are also collaborating with Cadillac/OnStar to pinpoint the vehicle’s exact location, as indications suggest it may indeed be in the Bronx.
