The Ramapo Police Department Investigations Division has announced the arrest of Emmanuel Michel, a 47-year-old resident of Spring Valley, in connection with the violent assault and robbery that occurred Monday evening, November 17, 2025 on East Hickory Street, as Monsey Scoop previously reported in our original coverage of the incident.
Detectives identified Michel as the suspect following an intensive investigation and took him into custody. He has been charged with the following offenses:

Attempted Murder in the Second Degree – PL 125.25(1)

Assault in the First Degree – PL 120.10(1)

Robbery in the First Degree – PL 160.15(2)

Stalking in the First Degree – PL 120.60(1)

Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree – PL 265.02(1)

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree – PL 165.45(2)
Michel was transported to Ramapo Police Headquarters, where he was processed on the charges. He is expected to be arraigned in Ramapo Town Court.
