UPDATE: Railroad Crossing Gates Repaired, Operating Normally in Spring Valley

NJ Transit crews have repaired the railroad crossing gates at North Main Street and Municipal Plaza in Spring Valley, and the crossing is now operating normally. Monsey Scoop would like to point out that, in the original video we posted, a train conductor exited the train to stop traffic while the crossing gates were not functioning properly. While the conductor’s actions helped keep motorists and pedestrians safe, it was still a dangerous situation. Thankfully, the issue has now been resolved and everything is back to normal.
