UPDATE: Orangetown Police Say Nyack Double Fatality Was Apparent Murder-Suicide

As Monsey Scoop reported, Orangetown Police detectives continue to investigate the double fatal shooting discovered Saturday at a home on North Midland Avenue in Nyack.

Based on the evidence and injuries at the scene, it appears that 52-year-old Jeffrey M. Wright fatally shot his 55-year-old wife, Anita Lam-Wright, with a shotgun before taking his own life in another area of the home. The shotgun believed to have been used in the incident was recovered at the scene.

Authorities say the investigation remains active, though it is currently being treated as an apparent murder-suicide.

Anyone with information relevant to the case is urged to contact the Orangetown Police Detective Bureau at (845) 359-2121. Police do not anticipate any further updates unless a public need arises.
