Authorities have identified a vehicle believed to be involved in the recent shooting near East Eckerson Road and Mallory Road in Hillcrest. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on November 25, 2024.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 four-door sedan with New York license plates reading “UN1K.” The car is registered in Pelham, New York, but law enforcement believes it may currently be in the Orange County area.

Officials are urging the public to exercise extreme caution if the vehicle is spotted. Anyone with information on its whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. The investigation remains active, and no injuries have been reported in connection with the shooting.

HILLCREST: Gunshots Reported On East Eckerson Road, Ramapo Police Investigating

The Ramapo Police Department is actively investigating reports of gunfire near the intersection of East Eckerson Road and Mallory Road. According to authorities, two callers alerted police to the sound of six gunshots in the area.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers recovered at least seven shell casings, but no injuries have been reported. The motive for the incident remains unclear.

Witnesses told police that a suspect vehicle was seen fleeing westbound on East Eckerson Road. K-9 units have been deployed to assist in the search and gather further evidence.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Ramapo Police Department.
