Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the mayor’s actions were accompanied by a heated confrontation, during which he allegedly screamed at two employees from the treasurer’s office. As a result of this outburst, two village employees were taken to the hospital for panic attacks.
Mayor Alan Simon has a history of volatile behavior. Reports indicate that he has previously thrown objects and yelled during village board meetings, with his anger issues being described as extreme and abnormal.
This recent incident is not the first time Mayor Simon has made controversial decisions regarding village personnel. Not long ago, he fired Spring Valley Police Chief Richard Oleszczuk, albeit only for a day.
