Underage Drinking Party Host Arrested After Alcohol-Related Incident in Town Of Ramapo

The Ramapo Police Department was once again called to a local residence in the Town of Ramapo, responding to an incident involving an underage drinking party. In the early hours of Sunday morning, during the midnight shift, authorities received a distress call reporting an unresponsive male, a direct result of excessive alcohol consumption.

Upon swift arrival at the scene, officers found a 20-year-old male who was conscious but clearly exhibiting signs of severe intoxication. Subsequent investigations revealed that the host of the gathering was responsible for the underage drinking party. As a result, the host was taken into custody, transported to the Ramapo police station, and processed on charges of Criminal Nuisance in the 2nd Degree, as well as a violation of Section 65-1 of the New York State Alcohol Beverage Control Law.

Furthermore, all underage individuals who had consumed alcohol at the party were safely released into the custody of their respective parents, who promptly arrived at the scene.

This incident serves as a stark reminder to the community that hosting an underage drinking party within the jurisdiction of Ramapo and beyond will not be tolerated by law enforcement. The Ramapo Police Department has consistently demonstrated its commitment to enforcing the law and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike. Parties involving underage drinking not only endanger the individuals involved but also pose significant risks to the community as a whole.

Residents are urged to take heed of this warning, as the Ramapo Police Department will continue to respond to such incidents promptly and will not hesitate to arrest those responsible for hosting underage drinking parties. The department remains dedicated to maintaining the safety and welfare of all members of the Ramapo community.
