Two Montebello Homes Burglarized Friday Night; Ramapo Police and Chaverim Of Rockland Investigating

Ramapo Police and Chaverim of Rockland are actively investigating two home break-ins that occurred in Montebello on Friday night. According to sources, the incidents took place around 8:30 PM, with suspects targeting two neighboring homes on Charnwood Drive.

In the first break-in, the intruders forced their way into the residence by breaking two doors. Once inside, they stole a quantity of jewelry before fleeing through the backyard to a second home, which is located directly behind the first.

The second home was similarly targeted, with the suspects again gaining entry and making off with additional jewelry. Despite the home’s security alarm being triggered, the burglars managed to grab valuable items and flee the scene quickly.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the suspects fled in a small white SUV and were all wearing ski masks and gloves.

Ramapo Police responded promptly, arriving on scene in under three minutes after being notified by the home’s alarm system. However, by the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the area.

In the aftermath, Chaverim of Rockland volunteers boarded up the shattered doors and cleaned up broken glass at both homes on Motzei Shabbos.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Ramapo Police at 911 and Chaverim of Rockland at 845-371-6333.

This investigation is ongoing, and residents are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
