Truck Accident on Corporate Drive In Orangeburg Causes Fire, Minor Injury; Orangeburg Fire Dept and Emergency Personnel Respond

Earlier today, the Orangetown Fire Department responded to a accident on Corporate Drive. A truck lost control, struck a telephone pole, breaking it in half, which ignited a fire. The truck then continued down an embankment and ended up in a creek.

Emergency personnel, including the Orangeburg Fire Dept, Orangetown Police, South Orangetown Ambulance, and Rockland Paramedics (Medic 21), quickly arrived at the scene. Fortunately, there was only one minor injury reported.

The incident caused significant disruptions in the area as crews worked to manage the fire and remove the vehicle from the creek. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
