The Clarkstown Police Department is advising motorists that Congers Road near Goebel Road and Ridge Road, just west of Long Clove Road in New City, are both closed in both directions due to downed trees and power lines as crews await response from Orange & Rockland Utilities. Several additional local streets throughout the town are also blocked with barricades while the Highway Department works to clear storm debris. Motorists are urged to avoid the affected areas and use caution while traveling.
