TRAFFIC ALERT: Daytime Closure of Grove Street in Ramapo Begins August 4th for Infrastructure Upgrades

The Town of Ramapo Highway Department has announced that Grove Street will be closed between Remsen Avenue and Augusta Drive starting Monday, August 4th, for a major infrastructure project. The road will be closed daily beginning at 9:30 a.m., including Saturdays, and will reopen at the end of each workday.

The project, expected to last 4 to 5 weeks, involves the installation of a new water main service and drainage piping.

Bus pickups for residents affected by the closure will be relocated to Treetop Lane.

Monsey Scoop notes that this closure is especially important for Hatzolah volunteers and local Fire Department members, as Grove Street is a key route to and from their stations. Residents and emergency personnel are urged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
