Motorists in Orangetown are advised to plan their routes accordingly this weekend as a critical section of Route 303 will be temporarily closed for emergency repairs. Starting at 8 pm on Friday, January 26th, the stretch of Route 303 between Erie Street and Orangeburg Road will be shut down to facilitate the urgent repair of a damaged sewer mainline pipe.
The closure is expected to last until the early hours of Monday, January 29th, with the road scheduled to reopen at 5 am. During this period, detour routes will be established and clearly marked to assist drivers in navigating around the closed section.
Local authorities are asking drivers to exercise caution and to follow the detour signs for the safety of the repair crews and other motorists. The Town of Orangetown appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during these essential emergency repairs to ensure the safety and integrity of the town’s infrastructure.
