Town of Ramapo to Host Public Open House on Comprehensive Plan Update – February 27

The Town of Ramapo invites residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to participate in a Public Open House to discuss the future of the unincorporated areas of Monsey and Western Ramapo.

This engagement session is part of the Comprehensive Plan Update and Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS), which will guide future growth and sustainable development in the area. The update aims to address key issues such as population growth, traffic congestion, walkability, and housing affordability while shaping the long-term vision for the community.

The event will take place on February 27, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Town of Ramapo Town Hall – Council Room, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Residents are welcome to drop in at any time during the event. There will be interactive stations set up where attendees can learn about the process and share their thoughts. There will be no formal presentation, allowing for open discussion and engagement.

Translation services may be available upon request. Residents requiring translation services in a specific language should call (845) 357-5100 by February 20, 2025 to make arrangements.
