Town of Ramapo Promotes Hannah Ross Within Building and Planning Department, Honored by Planning Board and Supervisor Specht

The Town of Ramapo’s Building, Planning & Zoning Department celebrated a special milestone this week as longtime Planning Board Secretary Hannah Ross was officially promoted under the town’s new organizational chart.

According to a memo from Chief of Staff Mona Montal, Ian Smith will continue to oversee the department, assisted by Office Manager Hannah Ross, whose leadership and professionalism have earned admiration from both staff and officials.

To mark the occasion, the Planning Board, led by Chairman Yisroel Eisenbach, hosted a congratulatory luncheon on Wednesday afternoon with Supervisor Michael Specht and other members in attendance. The board presented Ross with a heartfelt poem highlighting her dedication, kindness, and hard work — qualities that have made her an integral part of the department.

During the celebration, the board presented Ross with a personalized poem highlighting her character and dedication, which read:

A – Admirably dedicated

Supervisor Michael Specht praised Ross, telling Monsey Scoop, “Hannah has been a tremendous asset to the Town of Ramapo. Her professionalism and commitment ensure that our Building and Planning Department runs smoothly and efficiently. We’re proud to see her take on this new role.”

Chairman Yisroel Eisenbach told Monsey Scoop, “The poem says it all, this is a well-deserved promotion, and we’re all excited for her continued success. Hannah sets an example for everyone through her patience, professionalism, and humility.”
