The Town of Ramapo Police Department is celebrating the distinguished career of Dispatcher Heather Silber, who has officially retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service.
Silber, one of the department’s most senior dispatchers, was widely respected for her extensive knowledge, professionalism, and commitment to the community. Throughout her three decades on the job, she played an integral role in supporting police operations and ensuring the safety of Ramapo residents.
“Heather will truly be missed by all of our members,” the department said in a statement. “We are incredibly grateful for her unwavering dedication and years of outstanding service.”
The announcement comes just after the department marked National Telecommunicators Week, a time to recognize the critical contributions of dispatchers and communications staff.
The department extended heartfelt wishes to Silber as she embarks on her next chapter, saying, “Wishing you all the best in your retirement, Heather! Enjoy this new chapter in your life!”
