Town of Ramapo Hosts First Annual Community Safety & Awareness BBQ in Suffern {PHOTOS & VIDEOS}

On Sunday, the Town of Ramapo hosted its inaugural Safety & Awareness Community BBQ at 43 Coe Farm Road in Suffern, bringing together residents from Montebello, Suffern, and the surrounding Ramapo community. The event, organized by Town Supervisor Michael Specht, aimed to promote pedestrian safety, encourage neighborhood involvement, and foster partnerships between the community and local officials.

Supervisor Specht addressed attendees and emphasized that Ramapo is prioritizing safety across the entire town. He noted that enforcement and safety measures will be stepped up—particularly along Route 202 in that section—and that the town is actively exploring advanced methods to improve safety for all residents.

With food, family-friendly activities, and important conversations, the event served as both a celebration and a call to action for a safer Ramapo.
