Supervisor Michael Specht and the Ramapo Town Board hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday afternoon for the new turf field at Clover Stadium, home of the New York Boulders.
The event marked the start of a major upgrade aimed at enhancing the facility’s playability and durability for both professional and community use.
Supervisor Specht praised the project as an investment in Ramapo’s recreation infrastructure, noting that the new turf will allow for expanded use of the stadium throughout the year. Representatives from the Town of Ramapo and the New York Boulders organization were in attendance to celebrate the milestone.
Clover Stadium, located in Pomona, has served as a hub for local sports, entertainment, and community events since opening in 2011. The addition of the turf field is expected to further elevate its status as one of the premier athletic venues in the region.
