Town of Ramapo Comes Together for Family Impacted by House Fire

The Town of Ramapo is thanking the community for an outpouring of support following a recent house fire that left a local family in need.

What began as a fundraising effort organized by the staff and faculty of the Suffern Central School District quickly grew into a broader community response, with support from Michael Specht, the Ramapo Police Department, town employees, and residents from across Ramapo.

On Tuesday, Supervisor Specht, along with Daniel Hyman, delivered gift cards, checks, cash, and donated goods to the Suffern Central Family Resource Center, located at Suffern High School. The donations will help the family as they work to recover and rebuild following the fire.

Supervisor Specht expressed his appreciation to everyone who contributed, praising the Ramapo community for coming together in a time of need and demonstrating the spirit of unity and compassion.

Town officials emphasized that the collective effort reflects the strength of the community and its commitment to supporting neighbors during difficult times. The Town closed the update with the message: #OneRamapo.
