The Town of Clarkstown has officially concluded its Small Business Signage & Building Beautification Program, which awarded grants to 35 local small business owners across the town’s hamlet centers.
Through the initiative, participating businesses received up to $5,000 for sign replacements and as much as $10,000 for exterior renovations aimed at improving storefronts and building facades.
Town officials said the program achieved its goals of both supporting local entrepreneurs and enhancing the overall appearance of commercial districts. Studies show that such visual upgrades can help increase property values, attract new businesses and residents, and improve the economic vitality of entire neighborhoods.
The program was fully funded through the American Rescue Plan and approved by the Clarkstown Town Board.
