Families in the community have an opportunity to ensure their children’s safety on the road with a Car Seat Safety Check Event taking place today, Sunday, November 17, 2024.
The event, hosted by the Town of Ramapo Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) and the Ramapo Police Department, will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Fire Company No. 1, located at 374 N. Main Street.
Nationally Certified Technicians will be on-site to assist parents and guardians in properly installing their car seats, providing hands-on guidance to enhance child passenger safety.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children along with their car seats to ensure a personalized and accurate fit. Proper car seat installation is critical for child safety, and this event aims to educate and equip families with the knowledge they need for secure travels.
