The Gedolei Eretz Yisroel are sharing one urgent message: the Olam HaTorah in Eretz Yisroel stands on a precipice, and every single one of us is needed to help save it.
The crisis is real, and it’s happening now. The government funding freeze persists, leaving more than 120,000 lomdei Torah—bochurim and avreichim across 1,489+ yeshivos and kollelim—without support. There’s no political solution on the horizon and no safety net in place. The entire infrastructure of limud haTorah depends on Klal Yisroel stepping forward.
They said it couldn’t be done. The numbers were too high, the timeline was too tight, the burden was too heavy. They underestimated Klal Yisroel. From every corner of the globe, tens of thousands from every background and affiliation dug into their hearts and pockets, contributing not from surplus but from responsibility. Together, Klal Yisroel raised 670 million shekel, making possible the daily distribution of 1 million shekel that keeps 1,489 mosdos alive today. This supports bochurim, avreichim, and their families—a total of more than 350,000 people across Eretz Yisrael. We didn’t just respond. We became a living declaration: When Torah is threatened, we do the impossible to keep it afloat.
Over the past weeks, communities across America have answered the call, each kehilla has done its part with mesirus nefesh, contributing tens of millions of dollars to keep the flame of Torah burning bright.
