Three Arrested in Haverstraw After Violent Assault Leaves Victim with Multiple Stab Wounds

In a coordinated effort on Wednesday, law enforcement officers from the Detective Bureau, Special Operations Unit, and patrol teams of Haverstraw Police Department successfully apprehended three individuals linked to a violent assault on February 3 in Haverstraw. The incident, occurring at approximately 10:00 PM near 17 West Broad Street, involved a 17-year-old teen, Said Diaz, 19, and David Ramirez, 18, allegedly assaulting a victim with a knife, leading to multiple injuries.

Charges against the suspects include attempted murder, gang assault, and possession of a weapon. The trio was arraigned with bail set for Diaz and Ramirez at $20,000 and $15,000 respectively, and remanded to Rockland County Correctional Facility. It is a reminder of the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
