The Monsey Fire Department is once again organizing its annual Sreifas Challah Drive, providing residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of challah ahead of Yom Kippur.
The free community event will take place on Thursday, September 17, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Kaser Village Hall, 207 Route 306.
Residents will be able to drive through and hand over their challah for burning without leaving their vehicles. Kaser Village buses will also travel through the Sreifas Challah drive, allowing passengers to hand over their challah without getting off the bus.
Tashlich will also be available nearby on Kearsing Parkway, with attendees asked to follow directions from Chaverim Of Rockland volunteers who will be assisting with traffic and safety.
The public service initiative is being coordinated by the Monsey Fire Department in collaboration with the Village of Kaser, Chaverim Of Rockland and Ramapo Police.
