Chaverim of Rockland is partnering with the “59 Seconds” organization for a special life-saving initiative aimed at preventing hot car tragedies. As part of the campaign, free Clever Elly devices — which remind drivers to check the back seat before exiting — will be distributed this Sunday, August 10th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at 448 Saddle River Road.
The Clever Elly plugs into a car’s 12V port and plays friendly voice reminders from familiar Jewish voices like Uncle Moishy and Avraham Fried. It’s a simple yet powerful tool to help avoid unthinkable accidents.
A second distribution is being planned for next week in the Pomona/north side of town, with details to be announced.
Suggested donation is $18 per device, but organizers stress: if you need one, take one. For more information, visit 59Seconds.org or call Chaverim of Rockland at 845-371-6334 ext. 1.
