The Thiells Roseville Fire District officially broke ground Tuesday on its long-anticipated new main firehouse, Station 26-100. The ceremony marked the start of construction at the newly acquired site, with building scheduled to begin in June and an expected completion date of October 2026.
The $24 million project was approved by community vote in 2023, reflecting strong local support for improved fire safety infrastructure. As previously reported by Monsey Scoop in May 2024, the station will provide Thiells’ volunteer firefighters with upgraded training facilities and expanded equipment storage.
District officials expressed deep gratitude to residents for their backing. “We are proud to serve our community,” the department stated, emphasizing that the new firehouse will ensure enhanced readiness and protection for the area for years to come.
