Suspicious Package at Rockland County Clerk’s Office Deemed Non-Hazardous

A suspicious package prompted a swift response from law enforcement at the Rockland County Clerk’s Office shortly after 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office received the report at approximately 12:09 p.m. and immediately dispatched patrol units along with the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) to the scene.

The BDU secured the package and conducted a thorough examination, ultimately determining that its contents were non-hazardous. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the package or its origin.

Officials confirmed that the situation was safely resolved, and no injuries or threats to public safety were reported. The incident is under review by the Sheriff’s Office.
