Suspect in Multiple Monsey and Spring Valley Larcenies Arrested At Town Square Mall with Aid from Chaverim of Rockland

In a coordinated effort, the Ramapo Police Department, with significant support from Chaverim of Rockland volunteers, arrested a suspect on Wednesday afternoon wanted for a string of thefts in the Monsey and Spring Valley areas, particularly near the Town Square Mall. The individual is also sought by the Spring Valley Police Department for related thefts in their jurisdiction.

The suspect had  been stealing electric bikes, bicycles, scooters, and other valuable items at all hours of the day and night, causing heightened concern among residents. For weeks, Chaverim of Rockland’s camera units and Security Coordinators reviewed hours of surveillance footage, piecing together critical evidence that ultimately led to the arrest. This collaborative effort highlights the effectiveness of community-police partnerships in ensuring local safety.

Alongside Chaverim of Rockland, a security guard from Evergreen Kosher—who also serves as a Shabbos Patrol Unit for Chaverim of Rockland—played an instrumental role in the operation. The guard’s vigilance and cooperation added a critical layer of support, demonstrating the value of community and security partnerships in safeguarding Monsey neighborhoods.
